I just learned that the ancient Egyptians used a cold mash combined with cooked grains to start brewing their beer.
Apparently this method produced a fast beer. Like two days from grain to glass.
Modern European methods have a fast beer ready in 10 days. But most ales are 1 month and most lagers are at least 3 months.
So I am dicking around with Mesopotamian beer and Egyptian beer, cuz I want to brew 2 drinkable gallons every 2 days (it keeps for like 5 days only)
Also in Pre-Bronze age collapse the Civilizations seemed to make fun of one another. Egypt and Mesopotamia thought wine was disgusting because it made you more thirsty as you drank it (they have a point) so they razzed the Hittites, Canaanites and Mycenaeans for having inferior thirst quenching abilities.
The Mesopotamians and Egyptians used grapes to make beer tastier.
Everyone mocked the Minoans / Mycenaeans for baking bread with barley.
If all goes right I will be gibbering like an idiot on beer flavored with Nigella, Cumin and Coriander.
